Over the summer of 2015 I enjoyed another summer internship with EnerMech. Looking for the best opportunity to widen my range of skills I managed to gain experience with hands on and office based projects. During my time in the PPU office I took on a project which involved designing a Nitrogen Foam Inerting Gun. The tool will allow EnerMech employees to work safely on Hydrocarbon Handling Systems. Working in the yard with the Mob/Demob team I learned how to prepare crates going to on and offshore jobs. This involved learning about a wide range of fittings, hoses and various other pieces of equipment. I also gained experience in pressure testing, leak testing, flushing and servicing. Show less
