Industrial Engineering Intern
-
May 2022 - Aug 2022
As an industrial engineering intern at Republic Airways, I focused on continuous process improvement with an emphasis on documenting current system processes. Throughout the course of the internship, I was exposed to multiple airline systems, including supply chain, finance, operations, and maintenance. Beginning by creating a process map, I would analyze the current process and look for inefficiencies using concepts such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints. Applying these industrial engineering tools to a wide range of systems allowed me to understand how different components of an airline interact to deliver passengers safely and efficiently to their destinations.

Engineering Academic Success Mentor
-
Jan 2022 - May 2022
In this role, I served as an academic peer mentor to a freshman student in their second semester of the Purdue First-Year Engineering Program. This role allowed me to share many tips that I had learned while I was in the program, as well as challenging me to determine how I could most help my mentee. Engineering Intern
-
Jun 2021 - Aug 2021
In my role as an engineering intern at Britt Aero, I analyzed, outlined, and improved multiple processes using Lean manufacturing methodology and techniques. In addition, I engineered, designed, and drafted a fixture to be used to verify the accuracy of an outsourced component. I was also extremely fortunate to be able to work alongside both the engineering and shop staff in such an incredible setting. Lastly, I was able to gain exposure to multiple core manufacturing aspects such as design, production, inspection, purchasing, and shipping.
