Managed the field safety team, attended daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with prepared presentations, as well as post incident debrief meetings with presentations. Led incident investigations, implemented the first revision of the Las Lomas Emergency Response Plan, and maintained the site’s OSHA 300 Log. Led training on site orientation, manlift, forklift, and tower climbing (not tower rescue). Oversaw ordering and maintaining safety supplies and PPE for the project. Stayed in close contact with executive management as well as site owners’ representatives daily. Previously 100, 108 and 200-Megawatt wind farms with same company/responsibilities including but are not limited to the oversight of all aspects of wind energy construction regarding health, safety and environmental regulations. Ensuring the general contractor and their subcontractors conduct operations within the guidelines described in contractual documentation, best business practices, national/regional safety and environmental regulations and internal company policies. Audit documentation supplied by contractors to ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards. Attend meetings on a daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed meetings required. Submit daily and weekly reporting status reports, maintenance of all necessary records, insure completion of required inspections and data entry into company system. Use multiple Microsoft programs daily. Involvement in all aspects of incident investigations including root cause analysis processes. Assist in project goals of safe working man hours through buy in of safety program by all involved with open lines of communication and a sense of teamwork between all personnel on site regardless of employer.

Reported progress and worked directly with site management (basically stayed 2 hours after my crew filling out the days paperwork). Attend daily POD to discuss and coordinate the plan for all crews on site to mitigate safety hazards associated with performing different tasks in the same work area. Worked directly with site superintendents and other members of site management to efficiently and safely perform assigned tasks to meet contractual production requirements with safety always being the number one priority. Supervised and worked alongside my crew in the field, holding DAILY JSA/JHA/PTP/JSEA meeting in the field to discuss potential hazards associated with our assigned task(s) for the day. Communicating constantly with my lead to ensure that all work is being performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer and customer requirements. Performed heavy crane lifts of the top tower section(s), nacelle, and rotor/blades, ensuring the security of any tools being sent inside components, as well as the cleanliness of components before sending the component to my connectors upstairs. Once the day is done and crew is offsite for the night, I stay afterward to complete/organize all timesheets, critical lift forms, and manufacturer hardware (bolt kit) paperwork.
