Xann Schwinn
Samuel is one of the brightest engineers I've worked with. An organized and motivated "do-er", he created a detailed work plan at the start of the project which he then diligently executed. Open minded and thorough he was always happy to hear comments, amend work, and research new areas out of his wheel house where necessary. With a lot of experience already under his belt, he spoke with confidence and clear direction. Samuel was an asset to our project and I look forward to working together again in the future.
Kelvin Zhang
Samuel stood out to me as one of the few, exceptional students who come into university already having done personal projects, but what really stood out (and is even more rare) is that he has maintained his passion for working on technical side projects (such as his "Jamgo" static site generator) throughout even busy periods of his course and internships. I had the pleasure of mentoring Samuel throughout 2020 and found the experience extremely rewarding: during CV review sessions, Samuel listened carefully, was receptive to comments and iterated upon feedback with care and precision. Likewise, during our career conversations, Samuel was very thoughtful and open-minded about his potential career paths. Despite his extensive achievements, Samuel has been humble and a great communicator, and I have no doubt that he will continue to excel in his future work.
