Within this role, I was given the opportunity to gain experience within my intended job field as an assistant in student recruitment within Grant Thornton. I was able to exercise tasks including assessing video interviews, observing and discussing student discussion forums, attending weekly meetings with the HR department as well as other training and development teams, arranging and editing candidate matrixes, communicating with students to arrange online assessments and interviews and conducting research for student recruitment . This was an incredible opportunity where I was able to undergo real selection and recruitment tasks, which are essential components within the HR industry and have allowed me to gain exposure and practice of these tasks, as well as experience day-to-day work life of a student recruitment assistant. This was an extremely valuable experience for me, and I plan to improve these skills and exercise them within my future job prospects
