Ski Instructor

Dec 2019 - Mar 2020
Working for the Whistler Kids Village Pod, there were many responsibilities that came with teaching small children to ski. My main responsibilities included, making sure not only my own students but the other children at Whistler Kids stayed safe, being responsible for 7 children throughout the day whilst skiing the mountain in a safe manner whilst teaching them the fundamentals of skiing. In this pod the ages of the children in my ski group ranged from five to eight years old. Unfortunately this season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Kiddy Bike Coach
-
Jul 2019 - Sep 2019
Working as a Kiddy Bike Coach for Whistler Sports Academy shared similar responsibilities to that of ski teaching mini’s. In the sense that I was in charge of maintaining the safety and hygiene of all the little kiddy’s while they were at camp. As well as exploring the Whistler valley with them and teaching them the fundamentals of mountain biking. With some days consisting of larger numbers of children, another one of my responsibilities was to constantly make sure every child (in my group and other groups) was accounted for on every excursion we went on.

Ski Instructor
-
Dec 2018 - Apr 2019
My role as a Mini’s ski instructor was to teach 3-4 year old children to ski whilst making sure they had an amazing time away from their parents. This therefore required intense supervision and patience all day long in order to properly function and guarantee the kids safety.. With managing younger children comes more responsibility in the workplace, this includes taking extra steps/precautions to maintain the hygiene, safety and enjoyment of all the kids whilst they are at ski school. For example, constantly keeping an eye on the children and helping them use the bathroom when needed. This also includes always being prepared for any safety measure whilst being out and about on the mountain.

Food Server
-
Dec 2017 - May 2018
While working at the Glacier Creek Lodge as a food server I had many roles/responsibilities on a daily basis. Some of these included consistently maintaining the cleanliness of the station I was working at in order for everything to be easily accessible and organized. Making sure I was serving guests with the highest level of professionalism and respect by maintaining a positive attitude and staying aware of my surroundings. For this job I was in charge of the Soup and Chili station which I either managed alone or alongside another co-worker every Saturday.
