Samia Gorny joined the CVS Health Client Profit team in March 2019 and quickly took ownership of managing the PSS Client Profit P&L Actual reporting process. She manages the end to end process for ensuring financial Standard Gross profit results, client hierarchy structure and lives are properly represented for over 2,000 clients with Net Annual Revenue of ~ $140 Billion. She was tasked early on to learn the full cycle based on the legacy process supported by a Hyperion Application while also running parallel with a newly implemented process. Over the past year, the process was fully migrated off the legacy Hyperion based application to the SAP – S4 HANA environment (EHP). She kicked off 2020 working effortlessly in the detail to support the AFP initiative to close the gap on certain remaining items outside of the original implementation scope. Her success in this space supported a January 2020 report out to executive management on the Top 5 PSS Clients providing the ability for leaders to understand client profitability against the PSS portfolio. She worked with various business partners to ensure accuracy and completeness as it relates to Specialty such as Accordant, Novologics, DIR/PNR reserves amongst other items. She has also taken a deeper dive into areas that are not fully automated to ensure all transactions are accounted for in this very important management reporting. She has solved process issues for multiple items as a short term resolution until automated processes could be built. For example, leveraging AO queries against the S4 ledger to build out a tie out process on an general ledger account by account, channel basis. This task further supported the ability to report Q1 PSS by Client based against the complete portfolio at the most recent June MOR which was delivered through a partnership with the Financial COE of Reporting based on a tableau dashboard they designed. Samia balances working in the detail while pulling back to understand the big picture related to client financial impacts. She has been recognized by her peers and business partners as an effective communicator, ensuring accurate and complete data while holding herself accountable. She continues to dive deeper on additional requests from management while balancing daily deliverables. She has leveraged her skills to that has helped deliver meaningful data to senior management to enable them to make informed business / strategy decisions. Samia is always willing to take on new requests while continuing to manage her main responsibilities. We recognize Samia for her outstanding financial skills that link the accounting and financial reporting to the client, successful relationship building and accountability.

I highly recommend Samia Gorny for a Bank Compliance/Risk role. I have worked with Samia for 6 years as her manager at the Fair Lending Analytics team. Samia is a subject matter expert on HMDA data and fair lending analysis. Samia learned quickly the fundamentals of fair lending and became an expert on HMDA/FL data required for regression analysis. Samia also participated with the submission of procedures, Fair Lending Risk Metrics Reporting, Model-monitoring system, data completeness test, and for maintaining current and accurate documentation of assigned projects. Samia has a positive approach to change and excellent work ethics. Overall, Samia took ownership of new projects, communicated promptly updates to management, and presented results and recommendations to the business. Samia worked independently and kept assigned projects on track, prioritized and organized. Samia builds positive and lasting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders being often praise for her contributions to the success of the team. It was a pleasure to have the privilege to work with Samia Gorny.
