Bio
Gisal Mendoza
Sami reported directly to me when she did her Product Design internship during the summer of 2018. She has a great eye for color and patterns, great at taking directions and very focused. When asked to do product proposals, she brought different ideas to the table do to her textiles background, she is also not afraid to try different techniques and color choices based on analyzing the artisan's weaving techniques and dye choices. She is also very aware of design trends in the industry and is able to translate that knowledge into commercial products. I also appreciated her easy going and sweet nature, while not refraining from speaking up if necessary. I would highly recommend Sami as a candidate for any design related position.
