• Project management of research resulting in a PhD thesis which quantified that adding hydrogen to a series hybrid ethanol engine can, in certain cases, increase efficiency by up to 27%, and reduce electricity cost by 29%, indicating that ethanol-hydrogen mixtures can be a cheaper and cleaner alternative for low-carbon mobility. • Experimental and analytical knowledge on a range of conventional and low-carbon fuels used in the energy sector, including hydrogen, natural gas, and biofuels. • Developed a novel simulation methodology to predict the performance of gasoline/petrol engines using alternative fuels, which guides experimentation and reduces costs typically incurred in engine testing of new fuels. • Successfully secured funding approval for a research grant worth >US$300.000,00 (1$=R$3.2935), and awarded a >US$10.000,00 grant for an international research visit at Aston University. • Partner engagement with numerous academic and private stakeholders.
