Samantha is by far one of the sharpest people I have ever worked with in my career. She has an incredible depth of knowledge when it comes to SEO and SEM, and how to run highly successful demand gen projects for both online and sales-led campaigns. Her personality and professionalism only make her even more enjoyable to work with. She has a tremendous work ethic and was always willing to pitch in on projects that were not on her plate, just to help the team. If I were putting together a marketing dream team, she would be on it without a doubt.

When it comes to marketing folks, particularly ones that are focused on growth/demand generation/marketing operations, it's incredibly difficult to find exceptional people. It comes down to personalities. // Often, strategic people view "tactical" work like systems implementations or data analysis as something someone else is responsible for. Idea people often want to avoid getting their hands dirty and want to stay focused on the theoretical. // Often, skilled tactical technicians avoid the difficult tasks of understanding the company as a business. Highly skilled technicians learned their trade by putting on headphones and diving deep into a system. These people can't see the forest for the trees. Occasionally, very rarely, you will stumble upon a marketing person who has the ability to think strategically and implement complex tactical projects. I've met less than 5 people in my 15-year career that have this ability. I strive in my career to be one of these types of people because I admire them so much. Samantha is a shining example of a highly strategic and highly technical marketer. Samantha and I were the first hires under the phenomenally amazing Andrea Wildt at Campaign Monitor. We joined what was then a $50M ARR bootstrapped business that had historically only had 3 people in Marketing. After 3 years the company had grown to >$100M ARR and our team had grown to over 20 people. Samantha started out as an individual contributor on our tiny team single-handedly building the initial framework for two of our most important revenue channels - SEO and SEM/PPC. These two channels held the majority of our budget and drove the majority of our bookings every month. Fast forward 3 years later and Samantha is now Head of Marketing at Campaign Monitor. Samantha is an absolute star. She's a joy to work with, infinitely capable, and whipcrack smart. I would jump at the chance to work with her again and I would gladly work on any team she's leading.
