Roles included acting as a primary docketing agent to media and intellectual property attorneys, managing all patents and trademark deadlines through DocketTrak.com accounts, and serving as a "floater" to attorneys across all areas of law, including intellectual property, litigation, real estate, and insurance. Daily tasks included calendaring, schedule management, editing and proofing of pleadings as well as formatting documents, and working in PACER and various court websites to submit filings.In my first year at the firm, I primarily assisted First Amendment Attorney Robert Bertsche directly as the firm's media group administrator, managing the firm's free media hotline available to all journalists affiliated with the New England Newspaper and Press Association (NENPA). I also assisted the practice group with research related to First Amendment issues and carried out day-to-day administrative tasks including billing revisions and general project management.

  I was proud to serve as Worcester's crime reporter, covering the Worcester Police Department, area departments, and the court system within the county. In my time at the T&G, I covered the 2016 fatal shooting of Auburn Police Officer Ronald Tarentino as well as the manhunt and slaying of Tarentino's killer, Jorge Zambrano. My investigative series included one focused on the dysfunction of the state Department of Children and Families connected to an infant child, Avalena Conway Coxon, after she found dead in her Auburn foster home. I also wrote a feature that followed the transition of a transgender man across 10 months and documented his progress and ultimate top surgery at Beth Israel. Jan. 2014: Promoted to crime and public safety beat, covering Worcester and the surrounding county.Oct. 2014 - Jan. 2014: Covering the city of Worcester as a general assignment and daily breaking news reporter for both print and web.My work included avid use of social media and photography for storytelling as well as writing multiple stories - focused on politics, government, crime and features - for daily publication.

I also served as the general assignment and crime reporter on Sundays.During my time at the Sun, I was awarded the MacGregor Fiske Award through the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts for outstanding reporting as a newcomer to the field. I was also accepted into the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Fellowship at Babson College for health care reporting. Two of my investigative series were recognized with the first place award through the Lowell Sun's submission in the Right-to-Know category through NENPA that year.

Duties included beat coverage of the Rochester School Board and fire department, as well as the weekend police beat coverage of 30+ towns in the Seacoast area.In my time there, I was recognized with a second place NENPA award for a personality profile on a New Durham man who devoted nearly eight decades to winding the town center's clock. My coverage of a three-week child abuse trial with a colleague received a second place award for best crime story in the state through the New Hampshire Press Association as well.
