I have two roles at Oac, I am an Occupational Therapy Consultant within the preschool environment and I am also a clinician within the clinic or preschool environment. My role at Oac is to support the children and staff with activities of daily living e.g. if a child is having difficulties with fine motor, gross motor, self-care, visual perception skills, among other tasks, I can assist the child, campus and family with strategies to improve their skills. At Oac we also provide individual therapy through Oac health private. I also provide training to educators, staff and parents on topics including inclusion, school readiness, an active program, and other health topics.

Occupational Therapist

Sep 2013 - Feb 2015
Within the medical practice, I was the soul Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatrics. I conducted standardised and non standardised assessments to then assist children with a range of diagnoses similar to previous employment. As there are limited OTs in the area, I shared my knowledge and expertise with a wide range of clients. Building up the OT sector of this practice was challenging yet a great learning experience. Working within a multidisciplinary team including psychologists and doctors allowed for greater service provision and progress.I then become a mobile OT within the area of the practice and the Illawarra due to practice shutting down.
