The was a start to end function involving everything from order placement to liaising with the manufacturing teams regarding production schedules, working with the despatch team as well as co-ordination with freight forwarders to arrange the logistical aspect. This role required attention to detail in many areas from stock allocation to pricing, product weights and freight charges as well as a high level of interaction with people across the board both internally as well as externally. Highlights: -I was given the opportunity to co-ordinate and attend Assa Abloy New Zealand’s participation in the Guangzhou Aluminium Window Exhibition in Guangzhou, China. This involved liaising with the designers of the 66m3 booth in China, from design stage to completion, as well as arranging the logistics in terms of marketing literature, product displays and giveaway which had to be shipped from New Zealand. The show is well attended with attendance figures of approximately 50,000 and we had approximately 4000 potential customers through the booth in three days which resulted in a number of workable leads. - New ERP System – I was fortunate enough to be involved at the design stage during the project to upgrade existing ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics AX). This meant ensuring that the export side of things were within scope - especially from a documentation and packing/logistics perspective.
