Sam used her considerable artistic and marketing skills working with me on a project to make science attractive, particularly to students who are not keen on science. She showed initiative and an excellent understanding of her target audience. She brought a fresh perspective to the project and offered insightful ideas which she was then able to deliver. One particular project where Sam showed significant organisational and team working skills was in managing the delivery of the South East Big Bang Fair where the University welcomed several hundred students and teachers to exhibit their science and engineering projects as a prelude to the National Big Bang Fair.

In this period of time I have worked at a number of theatres on short term contracts including, the Nuffield in Southampton on a Headlong premiere, The Brewhouse in Taunton and Southbank in Bristol. All in marketing roles. Before this, I worked at the University of Southampton and Reading University as Creative Manager for Science Studios and the Big Bang competition which I organised for 400 pupils plus businesses such as 3M, Mclaren, JVC, BT, Bloodhound, EDT, Smallpiece Trust and Thames Valley Water. I have also marketed events for Microsoft and Aim Higher, an initiative to get Graduates and students into science.
