I’ve known Sam for a few years now, first as a GIVE Fellow where she and her group were paired with a nonprofit partner that went through an unexpected upheaval. Instead of stepping away, the group, led by Sam, doubled-down and were a source of support to staff who needed a help putting one foot in front of another again. Now, as a key colleague at Per Scholas, she has enthusiastically embraced the challenges of a new role, a backlog of work that she inherited, and has adeptly activated her personal and professional networks to benefit our learners. She’s already opened a bunch of doors to fantastic and fitting job opportunities for graduates, amidst the work of coordinating employer engagement for an inaugural career fair for candidates from 6 different organizations.
