The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Midshipman primarily include: leading the team of 50+ Officer Cadets and Midshipmen at Wales URNU, representing Wales URNU at events, and assisting the Training Officers in carrying out their duties, often including stepping into a training and teaching role. In addition, I provide the link between students and staff for expressing ideas and aspirations for the running of the unit, doing so by chairing Committee Meetings and attending Planning Meetings. Throughout the year my responsibilities include ensuring that event planning is on track and within the budget, organising additional training and events, participating in team sports, and generally leading by example in terms of both dress and behavioural standards.
