  One of two first-year students chosen for a selective organization comprised of 30 students across all majors at the University of Iowa to assist students at the university with their writing. Prerequisites for the program include being an Honors student, lengthy application, interviews, and a semester-long training course. Assigned a professor from a variety of disciplines and work with them and a dozen of their students on midterm and final essays. Must leave marginal comments, write a one-page response, and meet for half an hour with each student for each essay.
