      • I created a safe environment which also motivated and stimulated the children to develop their behavioural, social, and academic skills. By using my imagination and resourcefulness to produce visual aids and teaching resources, it helped the children to develop their own curiosity and knowledge. • I recognised a child’s individual interests, wants and needs, as well as their understanding and achievements to plan activities that interested each individual, and that supported their next steps. I used songs, games, imaginative play, physical activities and crafts to engage children so they would develop all prime areas of the Early Years’ Framework. • I was able to quickly build a strong relationship with the children using play-based learning activities, allowing me to implement my own strategies and procedures quickly to improve the environment. • I implemented individual discipline and reward strategies for children to achieve their personal targets. Parent feedback reported an improvement in their child’s behaviour, speech, manners, and ability to tidy up after themselves. Parents also reported an improvement in their child’s ability to perform physical movements, songs, and actions. • I built a strong rapport with parents to collaboratively support their children. I carried out observations, tracked, and summarised achievements on Tapestry, a shared app with the nursery and parents. • I ensured pastoral care and that the health and safety of colleagues, children and myself were maintained throughout. • PSHE Teacher
      • Aug 2015 - Jul 2019

I independently designed, developed, and delivered the IB PSHE curriculum from KG1-G11 for a new international school for Emiratis. As the school grew, I welcomed new staff, supporting colleagues and the transition of the PE department. I planned and delivered highly engaging differentiated lessons that were culturally aware and that embedded English, Science, Math and IT, whilst also promoting IB philosophies and Colorado Standards for KG, PYP and MYP. On top of PSHE, I designed and delivered IB Personal Projects to G10 students. I supervised individuals, graded projects, and coordinated with teachers, leading some training sessions for staff. I collaboratively planned with an international team to map standards across subjects, developing cross-curricular sessions. I was also responsible for designing and grading formative and summative PSHE assessments, and leading extra-curricular events. I administered student information. I communicated efficiently and built effective professional relationships with colleagues, parents, students, and management through a variety of communication methods, including face to face, school reports, school systems and assessment trackers. For each student, I set high, yet realistically demanding expectations of behaviour, achievement and teaching standards. I delivered through clear, structured, innovative methods that used technology and other appropriate resources that were engaging, and that also provoked independence and curiosity for all students. In order for students to participate and achieve all four aspects of the IB criteria, I creatively motivated students through a variety of strategies. As well as covering common sports such as tennis, basketball, and football, I introduced students to new sports and fitness activities. I was able to build a positive rapport with students, who began to enjoy PSHE, who learnt to work with different peers, gaining greater respect and understanding for themselves and their peers.
