I have had the great pleasure of serving with Samantha for not one AmeriCorps terms, but two. We have worked together on service projects in Pittsburgh, PA and Oklahoma City, OK, as well as attended two orientations in Washington, DC. In all of this situations, Samantha has emerged as a leader in every capacity. She is articulate, warm, calm in stressful situations, and smart- everything you would want from your best. I have gone to Samantha with more than one conundrum, and she has tackled every problem with logic, poise, and wisdom beyond her years. I have seen her interact with volunteers as a skilled leader, and have heard about her innovative outreach techniques while with RTDC.
