• Marbled Murrelet Surveys: Certification in Marbled Murrelet surveying, policies and procedures, as well as data transcribing. Manage and coordinate MAMU surveys Conducted 2-hour surveys on various private properties identifying and detecting Marbled Murrelets and determining species presence or presence indicating stand occupancy. Duties included; early work start times, working independently with surveys beginning 45 minutes before sunrise, walking long distances in low light conditions on uneven terrain, crossing creeks, and other environmental hazards, specific species identification, GPS Navigation on unknown trails, roads, and private property. Ability to operate a vehicle on various terrain types. • Breeding Bird Surveys: Identified all present bird species and determined nesting habitat and nesting habits. Identified nesting bird species and monitored active nests. Data recording and data transcription. • General Wildlife Surveys: Identified and located specific or protected/endangered wildlife species. • Conducted Nesting Bird Surveys all over Northern California and compiled Nest Intake Forms for Raptor species and Rookeries for PG&E’s EVM Project. • Conducted Riparian pre-assessments/surveys, CalTrans, and Nesting Bird Surveys in areas of scheduled work and for specific trees for PG&E’s Enhanced Vegetation Management Project. • Monitored Tree crews under the ERTC as an ERTC Adherence Inspector, contracted by PG&E. Provided Biological monitoring, Environmental Vegetation management monitoring and Environmental compliance monitoring. Monitored special environmental constraints; Asbestos, Caltrans, Northern Spotted Owl, WLPZ, Riparian, Yellow-Legged Frog, as well as nests. • Coordinated with and worked proactively and cooperatively with multiple environmental consulting firms, including ACRT, NCRM, ABLE, PG&E SVMI’s, and various tree crew companies; including Scheduling, accessing private and public property access, public relations, site reconnaissance, GIS planning and navigation, communication with office support, QA/QC of data, protocol review and health and safety checks on crew, risk assessment, vehicle inspection and maintenance, Garmin GPS Navigation, Fieldmaps, and Google maps Navigation. • Utilized Fieldmaps, Onevision/Fieldvision and Fulcurm, daily to complete and record surveys. • Compiled an ERTC reference guide for TRC utilization, to help others navigate and enforce the ERTC as ERTC Adherence inspectors.
