Primary role within the school and the foundation was as an English teacher. Day-to-day work based on delivering a government curriculum based around teaching English lessons with a focus on either Economics, Geography or History. Alongside being a English department member I was also responsible for English based lunchtime activities and also for the daily running of the school's debate and football teams. The post greatly developed my communication skills working every day with staff and students through the medium of their second language. I held the position of Chatteris International Graduate Programme Secondary Ambassador. My role was to canvas opinion among my secondary school teaching peers and then feedback at Programme Management meetings.
