The idea of Les garçons des Bulles (the boys of the bubbles) was born out of a strong desire for a tasty sparkling wine with a luxury touch. The problem we encountered was that many people bought sparkling wines for the luxury but did not really like them. We also experienced this ourselves. In addition, it was often the case that sparkling wines had very similar flavours. For example Moët & Chandon, many people buy the wine for the status that comes with it instead of the real taste of the wine. With our Crémants from Burgundy, we tested the taste with people who would normally order a Moët. The taste was very good and was characterised as: 'finally a bubble that has a really nice fresh taste and stands out from the general flavours'. The wines that are sold were chosen after a trip through France. After visiting several vineyards, we finally ended up in the Bourgogne region. Nowadays, we are not only busy with the bubbly wines, but we also focus on white and red special wines from Vosne-Romanée. Show less

For my second year of International Business Management at TIO University of Applied Sciences, I again have to do an internship. This year, it was an obligation for me to do this abroad. Because of covid, this was no longer mandatory for TIO. To play it safe and ensure myself of an internship abroad, the place of internship had to be in Europe (preferably a warm country, of course). Because I like to work with international clients, it had to be a company that serves multiple nationalities. By filtering through different categories, I finally found a real estate company in Ibiza. The company that appealed to me the most was Mi Casa Tu Casa, which rents out and sells villas. At Mi Casa Tu Casa I am going to take up different projects. The first project consists of making a marketing analysis of the current strategy. After this analysis, a new strategy will be formed in which the main focus will be on the weak points, both for the Dutch and the international market. The second project will be mainly based on general business development. In what areas can the company still improve in general? Questions like: how does the customer experience the service that Mi Casa Tu Casa wants to deliver and radiate; how do the employees find the company, what can be improved here; how can the company grow in the next three years? etc. All in all, it will be an instructive period and it will mutually add to our way of doing business. Due to the corona crisis my internship in Bali was canceled. My school came up with various back-up arrangements, so I had to look for a new internship in the Netherlands. After approaching a lot of companies Broekhuis Harderwijk was finally able to help me with a suitable internship place. The tasks and skills I learn, help advance in my career. Working independently and solving problems are skills that are very useful to master. I also learn various sales techniques in the automotive business. For example, I attend various sales meetings and come into contact with the other branches. By observing I learn to recognize different types of people and I can then respond to them. As my first job, I wanted to work as a delivery boy. I was very sporty and did not mind becoming a bike messenger. In the beginning, it was fun and innovative to earn money while being outside. Unfortunately, the way of communicating at Domino's was very bad. I couldn't get on with the manager at the time. I didn't like the way the manager and the way he dealt with the staff. As a first job, it was fine. It was the first experience with 'work' for me, which was very instructive in my opinion. Since then, I have started to see 'work life' differently. Show less
