      • Aug 2015 - May 2017

It was in this role that I first got my teeth into the world of YouTube and online content on a professional level. From a very limited brief I was given, I created a whole new factual entertainment property for Diagonal View named 101 Facts - the clue for the format is made evident by its name, but a lot of the smaller touches were not. For instance, its production process, style (in both scripting and editing), and even the quirks of the content itself had to be determined by myself, as a team of one. As of October 2019, 101 Facts has over 69 million views, 906 million minutes watched, a devoted fanbase of over 472,000 subscribers and has earned over £275k, with its own dedicated team and regular sponsorship. • Aug 2014 - Oct 2014

As the Marketing Assistant Intern at Norwich Puppet Theatre, my duties included social media management, market research, content generation (including video, audio and blog posts), data handling and general office administration. My main project was being put in charge of the campaign to raise £2,000 for the production of the 35th anniversary Christmas show. Through careful research, communication with the media and pinpoint precision in choosing which social media networks and groups to use, and generation of specific content, the campaign eventually reached 123% of its original goal. This puts a great figure on my tenacity and drive; getting a 123% result after all my hard work on the project was extremely satisfying. Show less

      • Apr 2012 - May 2013

My involvement with UEA:TV and being on its committee has actually been since mid 2011 (I was co-head of comedy), but it was when I was elected president that my main work was done. This involved regularly holding and presenting meetings to discuss budgeting areas of the station, pitching potential programmes as well as organising (both meetings and people), filming (both in and out of studio), directing, writing, editing and marketing, as well as talking to people of all ages. I would maintain relationships with business clients that we would film videos before (such as the Digital Phone Company), as well as looking to fundraise. Show less

During the Olympic Period I was a freelance Event Co-Ordinator for the BBC Big Screen initiative – public screens were showing the Olympic Games and other sporting events such as Wimbledon so that everybody could communally watch them. I was in charge of relaying any information and/or technical errors back to the main control base as well as liaising with the public and answering any questions they may have. This is where I honed my people and communication skills in this area, as well as experiencing working within the BBC, along with its events side and technical areas, which I am very passionate about.
