      - As a younger member of the marketing team I spent a lot of the time doing direct data input, attempting to reach certain goals on the various social media platforms and analysing marketing competition. - An unexpected task to do was also helping organise events for clients which I would also be part of executing and ensuring everything went well on the day. - In this role not only was I able to expand my skills in attention to detail, problem solving and thorough computer skills.

I worked with the MERL to create a display based around the local community:- The topic of the display was the in house knitting group; and involved community work and research. - In this role I split my time between interviewing members of the group, and archive work, and had to create a formal report on the entire process. - During this project I was able to develop skills of teamwork, communication, professional writing and time management. Whilst in these jobs, I would be the only staff member on site; this gave me a huge amount of professional independence: - Skills such as cash handling, closing and opening the workplaces were exercised. - The self-reliant aspect of the roles also allowed me to focus on interpersonal relations, customer service and training to deal with difficult tasks as well as customers. - The Sanctum gave me great further experience with hotel work, as it was a very boutique venue, which meant I had to be able to do all jobs a hotel requires.- Every shift I multitasked as a receptionist, barman and waiter simultaneously so it gave me a very vivid idea on how crucial customer satisfaction is and how the industry functions as a whole.

      - I began this job as a waiter, but was a barman for the longest period. This was my first customer facing role.- I was responsible for delivering food and beverages, handling petty cash and opening/closing the bar area.- I gained skills such as customer interaction and personal skills, as well as operating macros systems whilst learning how businesses handle cashflow.- Often a challenging role at times due to an extremely high turnover employment rate, this led to me learning to quickly adapt to new team environments.
