I am a shift leader at Jimmy John's. I make sure I have enough food prepared for the projected sales for my shift. I also have to ensure the incoming manager will have enough prepared for his shift. I train new staff members and make sure they know the rules and regulations of the store. I assign tasks for employees throughout the night and make sure they are carried out with 100% accuracy. I deal with any small issues that pop up during my shifts, such as burned out light bulbs, broken toilets, ice machine glitches, computer system crashes or malfunctioning ovens. Most importantly I have to ensure positive customer relations throughout the night. If a customer calls us and has a complain or grievance, I need to deal with it until they are fully satisfied with their experience. At the end of the night me and my team of employees are responsible for cleaning and setting up the store for the next morning. This includes me personally taking a nightly deposit to the bank and recording the night's sales in all paperwork. When I am on my shift I am responsible for all the money that comes into the store. If there is ever any money missing from the expected nightly deposit, I am tasked with doing my best to track it down. Usually this involves reviewing paperwork for any notes left by a previous manager, reviewing receipts and transactions made during the night, or even watching security footage to see if anyone other than the designated register person reached into the drawer or touched the safe in the back of the store. I helped clean and maintain the appearance of the Salon. I washed out dye bottles and swept up hair. I was also in charge of washing and sanitizing all the linens and towels after any facials or massage sessions. I helped clean and maintain the appearance of the Salon.
