  I lead a team of engineers with the goal of improving the environments in which we live, work, learn and play. In my role I am ultimately responsible for the development and progression of our technical roadmap. To effectively oversee technical operations, I maintain a broad skill-set in a range of disciplines: - Cloud technology: To reliably and securely ingest, process and store billions of data-points into our cloud platform for our customers. - Embedded software: To ensure our hardware quietly, securely, and reliably collects data on important environmental characteristics - Embedded hardware: In support of developing custom hardware solutions that fit our unique customer requirements - Mobile applications: For deployment of hardware and enabling easy access of data to customers

  I primarily worked on the core product offering, that being an embedded systems library. A key objective of the project was to support a comprehensive range of architectures and development environments. As a part of a small team, I gained extensive exposure to a myriad of technologies. Some highlights for me include: - Development of a custom hardMAC WLAN driver supporting Broadcom/Cypress silicon. - Extension of bespoke networking stacks for the Internet of Things (TLS, TCP/IP, MQTT, DNS) - Connectivity solutions for IoT cloud services including IBM Watson, AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub - Implementation of Bluetooth Mesh and porting to an extremely resource constrained micro-controller. - RTOS/OS integrations with VxWorks, ThreadX, FreeRTOS, MbedOS, and Linux.
