Sam handled the demands of this demanding, complex, University-wide role competently and proactively. He was particularly good at analysing working procedures and processes, and identifying ways in which the SSRMC could improve the delivery of its methods training courses, in response to feedback from students and colleagues. He dealt with all aspects of internal and external communication, developing and writing the content for the SSRMC website, producing briefing papers for Departments, and advertising our courses externally. His people skills were invaluable in dealing with many Departments, scores of teachers and demonstrators, and literally thousands of students.

Sam came to the office and took professional headshots of our entire staff for use on our website and in fundraising literature. Not only did he take great pictures, he was really personable and good at getting our staff to relax and come across their best in the pictures. He didn’t interfere too much with the work day but made sure we got a great set of professional photographs we can use in a variety of settings in the future. I’d wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone considering this kind of work.
