  Editorial internship, part of my BA History at Leiden University. Under my responsibility falls the book reviews section of Tijdschrift voor Geschiedenis, a Dutch-lingual academic-historical quarterly, which, being founded in 1886, is the oldest existing Dutch historical periodical. Among my tasks are mainly the selection of books for the review section, selection of potential reviewers, being the first one to draw up incoming reviews, and all communications in this process, with both publishing companies and (potential) reviewers. When seeking potential reviewers, I’m often on the look-out for new scholarly talents to publish reviews in our periodical. Beside these main tasks, I also work on a small research project to get an indication of in how far history teachers in Dutch secondary education are a target group of our periodical, and in how far it is possible to approach history teachers as such in the near future.
