  Conducted a Forest Health experiment in San Luis Obispo of the local microbial communities in Coast Live Oak stands. Used sampling methods, sterilization, pure cultures, data analysis, and statistics to determine whether litter leaves or canopy leaves have a higher diversity of microbes present. Goal of the experiment was to determine what microbes are present in the stand, where is diversity greatest, and identify potential pathogens of disease.
