Used sampling methods, sterilization, pure cultures, data analysis, and statistics to determine whether litter leaves or canopy leaves have a higher diversity of microbes present. Goal of the experiment was to determine what microbes are present in the stand, where is diversity greatest, and identify potential pathogens of disease.
