Gumbuya World is a regional Wildlife and Theme Park located in Gippsland which has embarked on a 3-5 year redevelopment phase. The Operations Division encompasses several departments, including: Guest Relations, Retail, Rides, Cafe, Wildlife, Technical Services (maintenance), Cleaning, security and Landscaping. As General Manager – Operations I am employed to oversee and manage the day to day of the park, whilst also developing and implementing new operational and technical procedures. Within this position I have also been responsible for the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives including revenue generation, labour management within seasonal fluctuations of trade, financial management of the division and ongoing review of safety and compliance procedures.

The operations division is comprised of five key departments; Guest Relations, Retail, Flight Operations (rides), Cleaning and Landscaping. As Head of Operations I oversee all of the day to day management of these areas while also establishing and implementing the strategic direction of the division. Operations and New Site Development Manager

The primary role as New Site Development Manager was to project manage the development of multiple Bungy Jump sites from induction phase through to opening. Responsible for human resource management, budgeting and accounting, engineering aspects, operational training and management, scheduling and ordering of equipment. The role being multi-faceted, enabled the scope to gain a broad range of business experience and management exposure.
