When I returned from my travels I was delighted that there was a position available within the fundraising team at Together for Short Lives (previously Children's Hospices UK). Furthermore, it was a position that allowed me to progress and expand on the skills I'd previously gained at the charity. The role sees me providing administrative support to the fundraising team and managing our supporter database, DonorFlex. It is very much an all-encompassing role, which requires great attention to detail, the ability to manage a diverse workload and proactive working. Some of my key responsibilities in this position include: importing financial data and reconciling with the finance team, analysing and reporting on income and providing supporter care. Show less

This position was a promotion from my previous post at Children's Hospices UK and had two key focuses. Firstly, providing administrative support to the fundraising team as detailed in my position below. And secondly, researching prospect corporate partners for the charity to partner with. The research side of the role involved using an array of sources to find potential corporates to support the charity and putting systems in place to ensure timely approaches and proposals were made. This was my first position at Children's Hospices UK and it saw me assisting the very busy Fundraising Administrator with an equally busy fundraising team. This was an extremely varied post and my key tasks were: financial data importing, supporter care, stock control and content management of the website.
