  Having returned to Dobsons with the role of Business Development Manager I was tasked with trying to broaden the business’s capabilities with regards to tendering and completing projects with more civils work involved. This should enable Dobsons to become more competitive by offering a more complete service to its clients. My role will involve a blend of site and office responsibilities to ensure a complete understanding of the work Dobson’s undertakes, whilst also being involved with client meetings and site visits. My previous experience within Civil Engineering should allow Dobsons to secure work previously considered unattainable.

  I worked as a Site Engineer whilst undertaking a 5-year part time Civil Engineering Degree. This began with shadowing a graduate engineer, completing enabling works at RAF Marham for accommodation of the F-35B Lightning II aircraft, However, I soon moved on to running my own projects. These included similar works within RAF Conningsby, multiple high-end apartments within central Nottingham and external works for the Commonwealth Swimming Pool in Birmingham. During the final two years with Swallows, I was solely responsible for ensuring our package was delivered to specification and within required tolerances.
