Proposed a NASA research grant via the VT Space Grant program to investigate Adiabatic Quantum Computing and the algorithms surrounding its use (as the D-Wave Adiabatic quantum device was recently purchased by NASA in 2013). Faculty Mentor, Professor James Hefferon, Mathematics, Saint Michael's College. Developed a new algorithm designed to input database search problems in Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization (QUBO) form, the form necessary for Quantum Computation in the D-Wave devices. I was honored to have opportunity to present the results at the annual Mathematics Association of America's MathFest conference held in Portland, Oregon (2014). Show less
