Their focus is in western Canada, with the capability to manage projects nationwide.My position as a mechanical engineer includes preparing mechanical and electrical (CAD) working plans and technical drawings for various signs and sign structure projects from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, specification sheets and other data. Also, I review plans and confer with internal stakeholders to meet project specifications, complete documentation packages and produce drawing sheets.The responsibilities of a technical designer include:- Create detailed 3D drawings for fabricating various types of signage, billboard and their structures using AutoCAD, Solidworks and, Revit.- Make electrical lighting layout design and carry out its electrical calculations with LEDWizard pro.- Work closely with project manager, fabrication supervisor & estimator to select cost-effective materials and manufacturing & construction techniques.- Manage manufacturing projects from conception to completion.- Creating custom signage designs from Elevation sketches and incorporate custom signage drawing into tool palettes.- Make computations to determine the layout of charts, the strength of materials and requirements for structural design.- Brainstorm as part of a team for developing design concepts and employ problem-solving strategies to find solutions to product design issues- Facilitate and ensure the quality of design, drawings and graphics work produced within the team.- Report directly to the general manager.
