I worked with Sally during her time at NHS Berkshire West when she was recruited to commission two new community cardiovascular teams in the patch. My role was to work and support Sally in preparing up to date performance information for senior management and ensure the project deadlines were met. Her attention to detail, commitment and discipline meant that when we met, or had deadlines to hit, we worked together to ensure all reports and information was correct and timely. Her skill in working across a number of services to commission realistic, cost-sensitive and clinically appropriate services was well received and I know all stakeholders and providers spoke very highly about Sally's attitude and ability to get everyone working to the same objectives in what were very tight time frames. I very much enjoyed working with Sally and am delighted to endorse her.

The criteria includes the student not achieving a grade 5 in maths and/or English after leaving year 11 and living in the 27% of economically deprived areas. The program is a face-to-face service, providing 6-8 week intervention program focusing on areas including developing skills in motivation, growth mindset, communication, respect and responsibility, managing stress and improving sleep. The team works closely with the teachers and support services across the college. The Team has 20 Intervention Progress Coaches. As the Team Lead, working with the team I support the development of the team/program, ensuring there is consistency in the program across all campuses, reviewing the data and program pathway, liaising with other teams across the organisation to deliver the best program to meet the student's needs. As well as being a qualified coach, I am licensed to practice Relax Kid - children/young people relaxation and Just Relax - adult relaxation classes. Through coaching sessions, I will work on 1:1 either by face to face, telephone or Skype and in groups, with the aim to help recognise goals and identify how to achieve them, as well as developing relaxation skills. Evidence shows that feeling relaxed and calm can increase confidence, resilience, increase happiness, improve health and well-being, lower stress and relieves tiredness. Just Relax teaches adults how to feel calm and relaxed. Participants will learn what stress is and how it affects our bodies. Based on mindfulness Just Relax teaches participants breathing, stress management techniques and coping strategies to create positive daily habits to feel relaxed and calm. Just Relax can be 1:1 or in groups. The Relax Kids sessions use research-based techniques to help children and young people to recognise their strengths and manage their emotional journey through life. Children follow a seven-step programme including, movement, games, stretching, breathing, massage/feel, positive affirmation and visualisation. These techniques provide a toolbox of skills which can be transferred as they grow through life. Relax Kids can be 1:1 or in groups. Research has shown that Relax Kids classes help to improve concentration and memory retention, improve self-confidence and self-esteem, develop resilience, stress anxiety management, develop self-awareness and the ability to self-soothe and improve sleep.
