I have had the pleasure of getting to know Sally well over the last couple of years. The first thing to recognise is that she is authentic and genuine to the core. She is an excellent listener and anyone who meets her will be immediately graced with her warmth and general caring nature (her sense of humour is also a great attribute!). From a professional perspective, I have found Sally to have a number of skills such as; - creativity/problem solving. - attention to detail. - discipline/the ability to meet deadlines/manage a number of important tasks. - always happy and willing to help others. In short, Sally is a warm, highly intelligent and reliable person who would be a great asset to any high-performing team. I have no hesitation in recommending her and believe that her skill set is adaptable to a number of different roles/environments.

AW & AJ Barnard Farms Ltd is an agricultural business comprising arable farming, small business unit lettings and equestrian facilities I have been co-director of the family business that is now for nearly 20 years. In this role, I act as a sounding board for the other director who is involved in the day to day running of the farm which is now a diversified business including rented business units, livestock and arable agriculture. This is the farm where I grew up and I have this to thank for my desire for practical, resourceful and straightforward solutions to any problems that I am faced with. It is also what is at the route of my love of the natural world and the countryside.

The vision for this business was to provide beautiful custom-made curtains, cushions and blinds to a local base of both trade and domestic clients. Born out of my desire to run a small business that did something practical and helpful with my limited free time while my kids were young. I'm a keen sewer and maker of things, and this business enabled me to design, manufacture and supply custom-made soft furnishing products to trade and domestic markets. - Specified, designed and made bespoke curtains and blinds - Ran professional soft furnishing workshops. - Met and engaged with clients in their own homes/premises to find soft furnishing options that worked for them, their home and their budgets. -Developed a bespoke invoicing, quoting and accounting system specifically for this business to ensure that my limited time was spent making and not doing unnecessary time inefficient admin. Creating this specific solution for my own business inspired me to do the same for other micro-business owners.
