  I was country manager in Iran, Tehran, for the world’s largest private organization in the educational field, to establish the company in the Iranian market. I was CEO, a position for which I was headhunted. Working in tandem with senior partners from the parent company in Switzerland, I was responsible for all activities at EF Education First in Iran including all agreements with resellers, agents, major embassies, banks, lawyers, etc. I successfully negotiated with property owner for suitable office location, that was furnished and decorated according to EF standard requirements. I also employed and managed staff, created a value-driven and corporate culture, identity based on Western standards and work ethics in the office. I built the sales and marketing departments, and led business development with clear strategies, processes and priorities. With overall responsibility for all marketing, communication and social media, I oversaw translation of all essential material for the website and EF catalogue to Persian. My tasks relating to the start up of the country office were fully accomplished by the end of May 2018 and following the introduction of sanctions on August 6, 2018 by the US government, for security reasons, I agreed with the company to return home and completed my assignment. With great determination, creativity and superb colleagues it was set up piece by piece, starting with building up the brand and reputation that made us to Arlanda's leading hotel and much appreciated international meeting place. Our ideal guests were conference guests, business- and private travelers, weddings and golfers.
