      Founded non-for-profit organisation "The Treehouse Initiative", an organisation which was founded to support children of all abilities to engage in sporting and community opportunities. The organisations vision was to break down the barriers children and families with challenges face to ensure equity for all. Sat as the Chair of the Board of Directors during this time, engaging with key stakeholders to develop local community partnerships. During this time the organisation ran "come and try" events for multiple sporting events partnering with Surf Life Saving Queensland, Tennis Australia and Sunshine Coast Falcons. Through these events children were given the opportunity to try these sports in a safe and supportive environment. The organisation hosted monthly lunches to support the parents in our community offering guest speakers and networking opportunities, delivered an annual community Christmas party which supported over 150 children, some of vulnerability and/ or disability access a carnival style event without the sensory overload. In November 2016, I resigned from my position on the board to focus on my role within Goodstart Early Learning. The Treehouse Initiative has since become STEPS Autism Treehouse.
