Northern Gulf NRM, Intensive Agricultural Officer. Current Project: Healthy Farming Futures - Strong Foundations for the Northern Gulf. Funded through the Regional Landcare Partnership, Department of Environment and Energy until June 2023. Outcomes of the project are to build stable soil carbon, prevent soil acidity and to decrease on farm soil erosion. My role is to provide technical agronomy with environmental outcomes. Farmers have access to professional on farm technical advice, farm management planning , field days, workshops, soil testing to establish baselines and monitoring improving soil health conditions. The current farmer peer group network will be grown "Healthy Soils, Healthy Plants, Healthy People", with the aim of increasing soil health awareness and access to expertise to support the adoption of recommended soil management practices that build long term stable soil carbon, manage soil acidity through a solid Calcium nutrition plan, and decreases on farm soil erosion.
