      Prestfelde is an independent preparatory school in Shrewsbury for children aged 3 to 13 and is one of Shropshire’s leading independent schools with a reputation for academic excellence but also offering a broad-based education suitable for every child. Primarily a day school with the option of flexible and weekly boarding, there are approximately 300 boys and girls at the school. There is an average class size of 15 children, and no class exceeds 20. I have been here on Maternity cover and have been teaching years 6,7 and 8 covering a range of KS3 topics including Headstart, novel studies and the Common Entrance exam. I am a form tutor to Y6, co-manage the Library (including the ordering of new books and managing the MIS system/app). I have been involved with the preparation for Bookfest 2020, continuous assessment, moderation, CE exam preparation and interventions, writing and preparing Schemes of Work, completing duties, parent consolation evenings and all major school events.
