Scope: -Initially, Salah was the management accountant & part of the due diligence team (ie HTE) - maintained the working capital such as banks, stock and debtors. -Headed the credit control team in HTE and reported to Mr. Douglas Sinclair, VP Finance. -Then moved into Energizer Ireland and held the position of management accountant. Main achievements: -At HTE, Salah was given the task of overseeing the Credit control function. He was given the task to source and steer a team of three staff. The customers were in the UK, Germany, Spain and the Middle East. The focus was on the doubtful debts as it affected the agreed acquisition price. The collected amount was in the tune of 7,000,000 Euro, which was 90% of total debts. -Prepared backdated bank-reconciliations for at least 12 months. Salah setup cash report of 16 bank accounts and later reduced this to 3 accounts to strengthen the controls. -Enhanced and implemented Creditors/ Purchase ledger Controls. (which was very weak) -Created and maintained the fixed assets register which was (for some reasons) did not exist.

Within one year, the weekly shop sales had increased by 80% - from 15,000 to 26,000 euro per week. The weekly sales of petrol/diesel was increased by 150% from 40,000 to 100,000 litres per week. The opening hours increased from 14 hours to 24 hours. In 2007, the lease/Business was sold to local businessmen who own Apple Green. During that venture, Salah managed all aspects of the business. This was the marketing, promotions, sourcing suppliers, stock control, sales development, cash, accountancy, tax and managing three shifts re 21 staff members. Salah continued overseeing the operation for one year till June 2008. This is until it was handing over to a new manager.

Scope: -Reported to the managing director and was responsible for financial controls & co-managed the administration and HR functions. Main achievements: -Salah sourced three staff member over a period of 12 months and managed their work. -The first challenge was to set up the finance department function which did not exist on his arrival. -Second was to produce a reliable set of account for year 2001 and 6 months of 2002. -worked closely with the management team to move the company to the next business phase. -Salah have set up controls and accounting systems that was flexible for business expansion. -An emphasis was put on the credit control system as it was out of control. The Debtors were corrected within few months. -The turnover was corrected as the previous practice did not account for deferred sales and sales were issued automatically.
