I get to use my creativity to design, my problem-solving skills to develop all while making a difference in the community. I maintain and actively develop 8 websites with at least one new website scheduled to be released each year. Using CentOS distro Linux servers, PHP as the server-side language, SQL databases, and various frontend tools and languages, I have to make sure all of the websites are at optimal performance levels for the thousands of users and judges that will visit each site. Routinely I'm asked to incorporate new features to the sites. On new projects, I am in charge from beginning to end. The design stage has me creating wireframes and prototypes. Pre-development work is done by making sure server, database, and domain name are all ready for the new site. During development stage I take my designs and bring them to life in code. I was the lead developer in the design, development and deployment of 7 e-commerce websites. Along with the other team members, I also provided support and maintenance for the sites and other related applications. I was in charge of UI and overall web design for all projects. Using various web languages and tools (.Net, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, HTML5, XML,CSS) I then had to convert those designs into functional web applications or sites. Projects were then deployed to either in-house servers (IIS) or on-the-cloud platform (AWS). My proudest accomplishment was the launch of the casino's loyalty program web application. The design had me using various new techniques and animations. The development was done using tools that I was fairly new in. A lot of time was taken to make sure I had a secure and functional application since we're dealing with private info. Show less
