I had the opportunity to work with Sajeev for two years after he helped hire me to AbbVie. During that time, I saw Sajeev lead with compassion and authenticity, and he became a key mentor to me within the organization. One of the things I admire most about Sajeev is his communication and collaboration skills. He is as effective in leading a broad global team as he is presenting to upper level leadership or connecting with a student intern. Interactions with him are genuine and authentic. His ability to break down complex challenges and communicate them clearly to others is a key skill. In the time I spent with Sajeev, he served as a role model for how to ask questions in ways that encouraged participation and discussion. His feedback was always timely, appropriate, and insightful - whether discussing personal development or organizational priorities. He was generous with his support and was always willing to make time for me or connect me with others across the organization to build my network. One of the strengths I see in Sajeev is his ability to engage individuals around organizational priorities while fostering a positive group culture. I have seen him courageously enter into difficult conversations respectfully with colleagues to positive effect. He is skilled in identifying and anticipating challenges while also helping guide others through tense moments in ways that acknowledges the difficulties while also orienting those impacted towards possibility. Sajeev is a wonderful mentor and colleague. He is a strong leader and would be an asset to any organization.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Sajeev for about four years when he was in charge of managing the Scientific Library and Academic Partnerships in my organization as director. Sajeev is a very hands-on leader, adept at leveraging his consulting background to define and execute winning strategies. He loves challenges and excels at responding to difficult situations. Sajeev has a strong interest in talent development, demonstrating excellent abilities in identifying and cultivating new talent. I can confidently say that he has brought in some of the best young talent into our organization in recent years. Through this special ability, he quickly recognizes the potential in people and helps them to succeed. In this way, he has made a significant contribution to the development of high-performing teams. As a further strong point, I would like to mention that Sajeev actively lives and supports the necessary and important values for inclusion and diversity. For me Sajeev was a very valuable partner and advisor in the leadership of the department. In particular I value his courage in challenging conventional thinking and providing constructive feedback with the goal of finding the best solution.

As a Director in PwC's Advisory practice, I worked with pharmaceutical, life sciences, payer and provider clients around the globe on their most pressing strategic business issues, structuring the analysis of complex problems and leading teams in the design of business, operational and technology strategies. Highlights of my engagements include: - developing an IT strategy for clinical supply chain management at one of the world's premier pharmaceutical companies. This work involved performing a comprehensive current state assessment of my client's technical architecture, leveraging the strategic business architecture framework to identify core business capabilities, and leveraging the solution architecture framework to develop the conceptual and logical IT architectures needed to enable business capabilities. - developing a business and operating plan for a genomic research institute based at one of the nation’s premier pediatric research hospitals. On this project I defined the operating model and organizational structure needed to launch the institute and provided strategic advice on value propositions & services and revenue & cost projections. Additionally, I facilitated the creation of a business case used to obtain support from hospital board members and venture capitalists to seed $100MM in start-up funding for the institute. - defining the strategic operating model and multi-year roadmap for a marketing solution center at a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company. In this capacity I worked with client executive stakeholders to identify the critical marketing capabilities needed by client business units and formulated the technology strategy needed to support those needs.

I learned Diamond's approach to Enterprise Architecture, including Strategic Business Architecture, Operational Business Architecture, Solution Architecture and Reference Architecture) and leveraged strategic frameworks to generate value for my clients. Since Diamond's acquisition by PwC I have worked to develop an Enterprise Strategy group that does work similar in approach to Diamond's. Highlights of my client work at Diamond included: - For a $50+ Billion global healthcare company, I leveraged Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks to identify ways to improve the efficiency of the company’s $2B IT spend. I specifically evaluated operational processes, information flows and technologies used to support the client's Research & Development, Quality & Compliance and Legal business functions. The outcomes of this project generated more than $1.5B in benefits / cost-savings for the company over the following five years.
