• Responsible for door trims & pillar trims to ensure the product meet the design requirement, weight & cost target, schedule • Define part specifications to meet the vehicle performance and style intention • Create BOM (End item and child parts) • Create Digital mockup (CAD) • Validate and ensure the manufacturability (injection molding, thermoforming, etc.) of the design intend • Create sourcing document and align the technical definition with suppliers (RFI & RFQ) • Work out the part and perimeter (BOM) cost with cost control colleagues • Work in team with project counterparts and forecast the risks (for Quality, cost and schedule - QCT) • Present the solutions for the issues with resulting QCT impact to management • Converge the style intention to a feasible design though proposal section, volume, limit, documents, etc. • Work out and decide on the part tolerance. Commit to vehicle targets • Manage interface with surrounding parts • Work out, propose and adopt design to cost concepts to meet the cost target • Validate with counterparts the functional performance of the part (CAE) • Validate the part against the general design rules & Renault Know how documents • Identify / forecast issues and propose suitable solutions • Prepare and plan the part level validation requirements along with local technical leader • Cad data management till design freeze in Enovia PLM tool related to part and vehicle. • Workout and manage the part cost and commit to vehicle targets Part quality validation at gauge level and improvement mapping to meet the commitment at off process condition • Analyze and propose solution for vehicle level issues (workability, Fit – finish, perceivedquality, durability,) • work out any resulting QCT impact and get approval from the management • Validate and approve the part level validation results jointly with local technical leader • Ensure part approval by all stake holders (at milestones) to meet SOP Show less
