As a full-time CEI roadway/bridge construction inspector, duties include performing independent inspections of roadway and bridge structure construction processes and materials to assure compliance with contract. Duties also include inspecting pile driving, bridge construction, earthwork construction, drainage construction, monitoring work zone traffic control plan, erosion control plan and performing quantity surveys for tracking and reporting. Reviewed request for information (RFIs), submittals, contractor’s schedules, revised schedules and updates to check for contractor’s compliance with the contract documents. Acted as an on-site liaison between the owner, company personnel and the contractor in resolution of project issues at the lowest possible level.
