  I had the opportunity to translate for him in important meetings which included members from the United Nations, Ambassador’s from different countries. Here, they spoke about projects and potentials in increasing their trade and political relations, how to work better and increase the capability of the two cities working together in terms of poverty, the refugee crisis, economy and transport. Refugee Project: I also worked with an amazing project for refugees in Ankara. We created youth centers that have many facilities for people of all ages, the youth centers include nurseries, learning Turkish for all age refugees, from mothers to kids to fathers to grandparents. This way refugee’s do not feel isolated and can integrate into society easily without feeling like the ‘other’ they can communicate with Turkish citizens and form relationships. I am lucky enough to be working alongside international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union. Turkish Children and Refugee Children Working on the Streets: This project is estimated to last between 2019 – 2024, it is a big project with a lot of money involved. The project is meant to be as transparent as possible, helping kids who unfortunately cannot afford to go to school. We are working alongside the European Union, and with them we have managed to open up a school where kids can learn skills to put into practice after. They receive a qualification that is accepted in those areas of practice. For example, they learn how to make walking sticks for the old, pottery classes; the school includes drama lessons and more. Also provided a councilor that can direct them in the right direction after their studies, so they do not go off of the right path. Which, as one can imagine, can be very difficult. Show less

  My job role consists of selling and making connections with other firms and many firms and organisations owned by the government in order to sell our software products. Whilst most firms and organisations are national, some of our partners are international. Organisation and communication is key in my role. Within YD Software I also help manage a company based in Scotland called Skyhook Artificial Intelligence. As Skyhook AI to succeed in Artificial Intelligence, to constantly grow, learn and adapt to the changing ambitious technological environment. It is an agile organisation within our workspace, I always make sure that my team are working together as well as having individual roles because I believe you learn more this way. In YD Software and Skyhook AI our target customers are governmental organisations, mostly in defense and security, we make VR sets provided to the Turkish military for training, the health sector, universities and we also provide services also in arts and entertainment and for public firms. As our customer portfolio is quite wide I make sure as a team we follow the news and we know what is going on in the world in those areas of work. This way as a team we have learnt so much and found newer and better ideas so we are our firm is not behind. Show less
