His clarity in communication & detailed feature requirements helped to drive focus for engineering teams. He was always has a question back to engineering if he heard a "no it cannot be done" and proposed how it could be achieved. He was very approachable and the team was comfortable reaching out to him. He had a good understanding of the overall system features and had in several suggested himself on simpler ways of doing/achieving things.
