Research assistant on a feasibility trial of EMDR for psychosis and trauma, in collaboration with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Manchester. Main duties included qualitative data collection (i.e., conducting semi-structured interviews, transcribing audio recorded interviews) and analysis (i.e., thematic analysis), as well as liaising between care teams, trial therapists and participants to ensure risk assessments were up to date and informed consent could be provided prior to conducting interviews. Facilitated a session with the C-TRU PPI group, and was responsible for other admin tasks such as updating recruitment figures and other important trial documents; updating interview topic guides; and creating training plans for incoming research assistants. As part of the role, I drafted consent forms and participant information sheets; advertised and recruited participants via the online SONA system; and facilitated two focus groups investigating smart speaker usage to help change health behaviours. I am also a named co-author on the conference abstract, submitted to DHP and EHPS.
