As a research assistant, I started my Master's thesis by defining the scope of my project from the scratch. I was focusing on developing, and optimization of photocatalytic membrane reactors coupled with UV LEDs for scaling up purposes. I first started by designing an apparatus to study the effect of operational conditions on the photocatalytic activity as well as evaluating the durability and efficiency of the proposed photocatalytic membrane. We were able to successfully develop a novel method for preparing the photocatalytic membrane which results in a highly durable and high-performance photocatalytic membrane. Show less
