As a student volunteer, I was a part of the social media team. Our task was to post continuous updates of the ongoing screenings and Festival activities. We also had to make content on the spot that went up on Sheffield Documentary Festival’s Instagram and Twitter handles. Writing articles according to upcoming events/ promotions, making short-form video content (reels/ TikToks) for the same while still working within the guidelines and identity of the Student's Union. I was offered an internship by Leapscholar to join their social media team. I worked with them for two months as a content creator, creating multiple reels and YouTube shorts targeted towards students/international students, which gathered millions of views. The Leapscholar team was absolutely wonderful. They not only helped me with my work but they also took my opinions in consideration when it came to content. Working with them was a great experience!
